Icon is a Waterhouse painting. Which are really nice.
I'm going to make all of those cool old paintings into icons.
Thanatos, his eyes aren't actually closed and he seems to be considering something, but doesn't seem particularly moved. What exactly is up I wouldn't know, he's death. And sleep is asleep, naturally.
There seems to be a paucity of statues of them in the world.
There was also a tomb in the St. Peter's basilica with two weeping angels who from a certain angle actually seemed to be laughing to themselves. It was cool that it looked like angels are actually amused at it all; the ridiculously showy building taking itself so seriously and the mess the whole thing caused getting financed and all the tourists and the fact that they're supposed to be weeping and everything.
