Dreamed I was standing in some city: There was a skyscraper made entirely of (darkish) glass, which was also a screen showing videos when viewed from the outside- semi-transparent; it had an odd shape so that the (square) ceiling and floor of each story where rotated in relation to each other so that the four outer glass walls of each curved slightly. Still all the people in that office building were visible too. This against a (starless, city) night sky, with some woman in dark clothing with little rectangles glowing in different colors in the background, standing with us (a group of children) on a balcony in front of the cityscape. More lights, mostly red, on the (not-transparent) skyscrapers further behind. I thought that these three elements were amazing because they looked extremely science-fictiony and futuristic but actually existed, I asked to take a picture of that scene with a (decidedly more 2000s) small digital camera. This scene needs sketching.
This dream, because I was thinking about:
-the concept of panopticon
-how everything was actually in reality getting close to being plastered with advertisements on video screens, like in science fiction movies
-architecture, the nice clean-cut right-angled things standing around in Berlin and the strange modern (50s-70s design?) simplistic but with rounded parts huge buildings in Moscow.
I also dreamed I was just about to inform my mother how nice Welsh English sounds, but then I woke up. (It really does sound very nice, along with every other dialect of the British Isles- the pleasant phonology of the language, without the general slurring of everything and loss of distinction of vowels that America does to it a lot.)
