My awesome organization skills: I ought to be somewhere (I don't know where) at 2 for some type of gettogether. Really I don't know how I managed to go to prom and graduation.

This summer (1st July- 21 August) :

important stuff-

Week 0 (now):
- sort out this mess in my room
- pick up yearbook (find receipt, now.)

Week 1
-choose 5 colleges to apply to, find out what tests to take etc
-find out if/when/where/how I can go to lectures at these universities here

Week 2
- write applications
- register for tests

Week 3
-write applications

Week 4
-write applications

Week 5
-edit applications, give to people to proofread

Week 6
-edit applications

Week 7
- find topic to present about
- get school supplies

(then : send applications)

less vital stuff:

- write stuff
- try not to forget not to seem dead on facebook
- read all that stuff I haven't finished!
- read sciency things
- watch movies I want to watch
- write fiction (magical realism with (imaginary) cyborgness, how about that?)
- write fanfiction
- learn principles of Japanese, Klingon

acquire:
- not more books, for now
- headphones
- more music

Told you so oneword.com is actually going to make me do stuff.

"Wading through then sluggish depths of sleep, feeling the dark heavy fluid tugging at legs, hands, rising in tendrils to reclaim him as piercing splinters of cold sunlight fell into his eyes"

it sounds so abstract because I avoid specifying anything about the main character for the longest time, having to stop in the middle of the story to choose between "he" and "she" is really annoying especially when it's not the least bit relevant. So I'll just alternate between he, she, and ey or something else every time I have to choose. (Awful language).

Edit:

"Wading through then sluggish depths of sleep, feeling the dark heavy fluid tugging at eir legs, eir hands, rising in tendrils to reclaim em as piercing splinters of cold sunlight fell into eir eyes"

Well that's awful phonological aesthetics or something too. What was that entirely pronouncable french-derived gender-neutral pronoun starting with L again?

Other than that, on further contemplation what I just wrote rather reminds me of the Abhorsen trilogy. Coolest deathscape ever. Must reread, so glad I just remembered that that exists.

Icon is a Waterhouse painting. Which are really nice.

I'm going to make all of those cool old paintings into icons.

Thanatos, his eyes aren't actually closed and he seems to be considering something, but doesn't seem particularly moved. What exactly is up I wouldn't know, he's death. And sleep is asleep, naturally.
There seems to be a paucity of statues of them in the world.

There was also a tomb in the St. Peter's basilica with two weeping angels who from a certain angle actually seemed to be laughing to themselves. It was cool that it looked like angels are actually amused at it all; the ridiculously showy building taking itself so seriously and the mess the whole thing caused getting financed and all the tourists and the fact that they're supposed to be weeping and everything.

Everyone who's reading this I've already told this a million times, but:

I saw this guy in the train who was like

+

+

creepy mannequin-like absolutely not moving his face or anything the whole time

+

speaking something east European

Seriously, like a robot/agent with Wilde's haircut and lower half of face. Had a very well-made suit too.
Maybe he was a clone. Or an Agent. Or a robot. I suspect something awesome could be done with the concept of "replicant" and making people to look like Oscar Wilde, but since I haven't seen Bladerunner (only read the book), I have no idea.
